POST-GAZETTE (Pittsburgh) May 18, 2016—Gov. Tom Wolf signed into law legislation that provides additional funding for the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation to help transition young people with disabilities into employment. State staff will help teens secure summer and part-time jobs, according to the legislation, which was a response to an advocacy campaign on social media entitled #IWantToWork launched by the United Way of Southwestern PA. The organization called the law a “tremendous first step” and promised to “continue driving systemic change toward inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace.”
