It’s Employment First Friday and since this is the beginning of the National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), we want to highlight two important events that the #IWantToWork Campaign has been anxiously awaiting!
First, on September 15, Governor Tom Wolf’s plan to implement his Employment First Executive Order was released at the state level. The plan aims to increase the number of people with disabilities in Pennsylvania working in competitive, integrated employment. Then, at the federal level, the Advisory Committee on Increasing Competitive integrated Employment delivered its Final Report to Congress and the Department of Labor. Read the report here: WIOA Advisory Committee Report.
