
Lauren Coni from Schnecksville traveled to the Capitol on Feb. 26 to raise awareness of the “I Want to Work” campaign, which helps young people with disabilities get jobs and internships while in high school. Her visit coincided with a committee vote on Gingrich/Baker Bill HB400, which would allow the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) to facilitate the process of job and career development between local education agencies and employers to ensure the successful transition of high school students with disabilities into competitive, integrated employment.
